COEXIST

We were stuck in isolation during the summer of 2020. But the crisis did not prevent us from working together beyond national borders - and we turned social distancing into our method. As a result, the poster-ping-pong series was created: one designs a poster, the other then creates something new on the base of its elements. Then again, the file is returned for a third pass, and so on. In this manner, four poster series were created on the topic of "coexist".

"Coexistence within ourselves" Typically, coexistence is regarded as something taking place between us and fellow humans, animals and other life forms. But coexistence already begins within ourselves. A person is not alone in him or herself - bacteria, fungi and viruses also live in, on and with us. Our body is a wonderful living community that makes our survival possible in the first place. A look inside reveals: Without community, there is no survival - both within us and between us.

"Opportunities through the virus" Are aggressive viruses the natural reaction to our own destructive behaviour towards nature? As if a process is underway to restore the natural balance. As if we are reminded that we cannot work against nature in the long run, but are ultimately a part of it. It is probably precisely this pressure that humanity needs in order to stop procrastinating on the climate crisis and to finally start making the necessary changes. The poster series "Opportunities through the virus" deals with these correlations.
